No nO NNoo my friend
Dont train Back and chest on the same day. They are both BIG muscle groups and should be trained seperately.
You need to understand that when u train,u are breaking ur body everytime u lift a weight.
Therefore,u go home afterwards and drink a shake/eat/relax so that ur body can recover and grow.
If your training both big groups a day,u cant get in enough nutrition for your body to fully *fix* the broken muscle groups and they wont grow.
Do u understand this?
The muscle fibers tear and get *fixed* everyday by ur body consuming protein, carbs and fat. U need all these things to *fix ur body for the next days pounding it will take.
Train, eat and sleep ten hours a day to grow. This is what Jay Cutler says, and he doesnt look to bad for an Olympian.
Cheers. Goodluck bud.

Re: Which should I train 1st?
Not saying you or Jay Cuttler are wrong, But I too train my back and chest on the same day and find it works great for me. It's the best way to avoid my arms over working. See my log for my split.
I started it but havn't added to because I've been mega busy.

I see what you mean, but listen to the fast that u can not fully recover the torn fibers of your back and chest. Maybe you are getting results but i am telling u this:
YOU ARE ONLY GETTING ABOUT 60% OF WHAT RESULTS YOU COULD BE GETTING.
This is a fact and u cannot argue it. You shouldnt be using your arms so much to work your back and chest. I strap alot for back(deadlifts, rows, single arm rows of 180lb dumb bells.) You need to work it HEAVY for these parts and your arms should be the least of your worries guy, believe me. Back, chest and legs are the only weak points real bb have.
Im not trying to be nasty or hard headed. But i have talked to alot of guys and seen alot af training schedules.
I just want to help you the best i can.
Good luck buddy

Re: Which should I train 1st?
@ Brawn, I look forward to seeing and example of your back and chest workout. What is the volume? low sets low reps?
My reason for asking is when ever I see chest and back trained on the same day it is normally that the trainer is following a H.I.T program or another similar modeled program.
I personally am not saying this is wrong nor is it right. Just looking forward to seeing your log coming to life.
